Mimi’s Gite is located about 50 miles south west of Toulouse in the thriving farm village of L’Isle-en-Dodon stradling the Save river and nestled between rolling hills covered with forrest and farm fields. Altough we are on a bustling corner in the village, the gîte gardens are secluded behind a wall providing comfort and privacy. The gite occupies one third of our 18th century house which was once a “relais de poste” for mail carriers and and an auberge for cattle buyers. One can easily walk to the village center in two minutes and find the butcher shop, bakeries, grocery store, pharmacy, bank and the post office. There are three restaurants within a five minute walk. Several more restaurants are only a short drive away; some we consider to be gourmet. The gîte guests have their own entrance from the street side and also into the garden and pool area. Because we have only one gite and only one set of guests at a time, we can maintain the gite at a high standard and readily offer assistance to our guests. Whether you are a couple or a family of six, we are sure Mimi’s Gite will provide you with a great base to see and enjoy southwest France.
